Rules and Regulation Reminder May 29, 2009

Willie Laidlaw Director of Referees

3.13 Handshaking
All teams will shake hands with their opponents before every match (approved on September 28, 2008)

The intent of article 3.13 is to diffuse potential animosity before the game by reminding players that the game is supposed to be fun. It is not intended to replace the handshaking and cheering for the opponents after the match which must also be encouraged.

All coaches are reminded of this in order to promote good sportsmanship.

GET A KICK OUT OF LIFE!!!

Phoenix Announcement - April 16, 2009

PHOENIX COACH RECEIVES PREMIER DIPLOMA

The Phoenix Club is proud to announce one of its coaches - Laurence Leydier was successful in obtaining his NSCAA Premier Coaching Diploma.

After receiving a high mark on his Advanced National Diploma course last year, Mr. Leydier was invited to challenge the Premier Diploma a few weeks ago. The Premier Diploma is recognized by US Clubs & Colleges as equivalent to the USSF "A" License and Phoenix is pleased to have a coach in its ranks who has obtained this level of coaching certification.  Mr. Leydier commented that "It was truly a fantastic and challenging opportunity to work with some top level Instructors & Coaches.  I enjoyed it immensely and learned a great deal from the experience".  Having received a top mark in the Premier Diploma, Mr. Leydier has now been invited to enroll in the NSCAA Masters Diploma program.  We congratulate Mr. Leydier on his recent achievement and are gratified to have him on board as the head coach for our Phoenix U18 girls team this season.

This season the Phoenix Club will be hosting coaching education clinics for its coaching staff as part of its plans to provide quality programs to the Phoenix teams.
