The Winnipeg Youth Soccer Association (WYSA) is proud to announce the kickoff of its 3rd season of the Mobile Mini Soccer Program! The Mobile Mini Soccer Program offers a free one-hour soccer session to children aged four to eight, at various locations in the inner-city throughout the summer. The sessions are structured to introduce children to the beautiful game by a certified coach coordinator and premier players from local youth district soccer clubs. The youth players not only help coordinate the activities, they are often regarded as role-models for the mini soccer players, a role they embrace.
Since 2013, the program has seen approximately 1,600 children participate, providing them the opportunity to get active and learn some new soccer skills. “We have built some momentum over the past two years and I know some of the kids are already talking and looking forward to this year’s program” said Carlo Bruneau, WYSA Executive Director. “By bringing the game to them, we’re hoping to give children an opportunity they might not otherwise have.”
The program is supported by the Winnipeg Youth Soccer Association, Manitoba Soccer Association, and Tim Hortons in conjunction with WYSA’s five district soccer clubs. The program runs 6 PM – 7 PM, May 11 to June 11, Monday to Thursday, at Dufferin School, Brooklands School, Lord Selkirk School and Central Park respectively.
Starting Friday, May 8 to Sunday, May 10, you are invited to the first ever FIFA Women’s World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola at Polo Park Shopping Centre. On a coast-to-coast trip across Canada, the Trophy Tour will treat guests to several interactive and engaging elements, including a photo with the real FIFA Women’s World Cup Trophy. Join us for this unforgettable event by reserving your complimentary tickets at coca-cola.ca/trophytour!

Dear Soccer Community, there is a need for us to clarify that the MSA needs to GAUGE the interest of the community on a soccer specialty license plate before proceeding with the program. We have not yet formalize an application and the application is conditional on demonstrating that there is interest and support for this initiative.
As such, if you would be willing to purchase a license plate, once the process is completed, please complete the form and submit it. It is critical that we gauge the interest before proceeding to ensure that it would be a successful initiative.

I have just moved to a different part of the city, do I still register with the same District Club/Community Centre?
Your registration is based on your domicile as of January 1 of that year. So if you have moved to a different part of the city, in December and are registering for the outdoor season, you will now need to register with your new District Club or Community Centre. If you moved in February and are registering for the outdoor season, you would still register with your previous Home Community Centre or Premier Club.
If you want a transfer back to the Club you previously played for, you need to request an Inter-District Transfer from your new Home Club or apply for an Open Transfer in January.
District Clubs / Premier Clubs:
Bonivital Soccer Club (serving the southeast)
FC Northwest (serving the northwest)
St. Charles Soccer Association (serving the west and Headingley)
Winnipeg Phoenix Football Club (serving the northeast)
Winnipeg South End United (serving the southwest)
